The phone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, which is really impressive at this price point. It offers smooth multi-touch support and quick response even with a single tap.
The MediaTek Dimensity 6080 (6 nm) chipset is well optimized for smooth and reliable performance. Along with this, you get a powerful 108 MP camera and an adventurous-looking design.
Plus, the 6000 mAh battery with 70 W fast charging provides long battery life and quick charging, making long journeys perfect for finishing a web series without interruption.
Design & Build Quality
The back design is truly unique and impressive, featuring an adventurous, gaming-friendly look with LED blinking lights for notifications, calls, Gaming mode entry, music beats and battery charging etc.
This design inspiration is clearly taken from the Nothing Phone, which introduced a transparent back with LED lighting. However, the Nothing Phone was launched as a premium device, while the TECNO Pova 6 Pro 5G brings a similar concept at a much more affordable price of around Rs. 16,000, along with several powerful features.
Display Quality

The TECNO Pova 6 Pro 5G is built with a glass front and a plastic frame and back, but it still feels premium in hand. While gaming, it feels comfortable to hold, especially for gamers. With a 198 g lightweight body, good gyro positioning, and no noticeable delay, the overall gaming experience feels smooth and enjoyable.
The front side features a 6.78-inch 120 Hz AMOLED panel with an 87.2% screen-to-body ratio and 393 PPI pixel density, which means thin bezels and a great visual experience. Moreover, the center punch-hole cutout houses a 32 MP selfie camera. It is very small and easily ignored while watching movies or enjoying games.
I played PUBG Mobile and COD Mobile on this phone, and the display responsiveness and touch sensitivity felt really smooth. If you’re not a hardcore competitive gamer, this phone offers a great visual and gaming experience at a very affordable price.
Performance & Gaming
In terms of overall performance, the phone performs really well. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset, built on a 6 nm process, which has good performance potential.
The processor is paired with an octa-core CPU (2×2.4 GHz Cortex-A76 and 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55) and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU for graphics.
With 8 GB or 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, along with microSD card support, the phone easily handles daily tasks and mid-to-heavy gaming without heavey frequent slowdowns.
The stereo speakers enhance quality, while the 6000 mAh battery with 70W fast charging makes long gaming sessions practical. The 10W reverse wired charging is a bonus, allowing you to power accessories like TWS earbuds or other phones while gaming on the go.
Benchmark Score & Performance
In benchmark tests, the TECNO Pova 6 Pro scores around 390K–433K on AnTuTu v9/v10 and about 2,035 on Geekbench 6 multi-core, positioning it as a strong mid-range performer rather than a flagship.

It is sufficient for smooth gameplay in games like BGMI or Call of Duty Mobile at max settings, but ultra settings in very demanding games may cause noticeable frame drops.
Camera Performance

The TECNO Pova 6 Pro 5G comes with a single 108 MP primary camera featuring a 24mm wide lens that supports PDAF for wide photography. For video, it can record at 1440p resolution at 30 FPS, but unfortunately, 60 FPS recording is only available at 1080p.
On the front, the phone has a 32 MP selfie camera with a 22mm wide lens, offering the same video recording capabilities as the rear camera.

I captured some photos, and they came out really well in daylight. However, in low-light conditions, the performance is below average, with images appearing blurry and noisy, even in areas with good dynamic range. The OIS works well during video recording, but it doesn’t perform as effectively as what we see in above-average phones.
Camera Verdict: Solid for social media/sharing at ₹16K price. Skip if photography priority (Poco X6 better low-light).
Battery Life & Charging
The TECNO Pova 6 Pro is powered by a 6000 mAh battery, which is higher than the 5000 mAh batteries found in many flagship phones. It also offers 70W wired charging and 10W reverse wired charging, features that are hard to find even in phones priced between 20K–25K.
I played PUBG Mobile and COD Mobile non-stop for 8 hours, and the battery still had 17% remaining. It’s impressive to see above-average battery life combined with fast charging and the reverse charging feature in a phone at this price.
Battery & Charging Verdict: Best battery life under ₹20K. Charges faster than most rivals
Software & Updates
The TECNO Pova 6 Pro 5G ships with Android 14 topped with HiOS 14, delivering a feature-packed performance tailored for Indian gamers, despite some quirks typical of budget Chinese brands.
The UI feels snappy, thanks to RAM expansion (8 GB → 20 GB and 12 GB → 24 GB) and fast onboard storage, giving an advantage during gameplay in PUBG Mobile and COD Mobile.
The Game Space mode optimizes performance with one-tap boosts, blocks notifications, and triggers the ARC LED lights for immersive RGB feedback when entering games like PUBG or Free Fire.

Useful extras like the IR blaster turn your phone into a universal remote for your AC and TV, while 24-bit/192 kHz Hi-Res audio certification ensures wired earphones sound surprisingly premium during breaks between matches.
The downside is that HiOS comes with bloatware, such as duplicate file managers and shopping apps, which cannot all be uninstalled. You may also encounter full-screen ads when clearing RAM or checking storage.
Recent Android 15 beta updates (rolling out in the Middle East) have fixed battery drain and animation glitches, but India’s patch rollout is slower than Samsung rivals.
TECNO promises 1 major OS upgrade and 2 years of security updates, which lags behind Poco’s policy but still beats most competitors under ₹20K.
Pros And Cons
The TECNO Pova 6 Pro, priced around Rs. 16K in India, offers great value with powerful performance. However, there are a few areas where it could improve, and it may not be the best choice for everyone. Take a look below.
What Makes It Special:
- ARC LED lights pulse for notifications/gaming (Nothing Phone vibes at ₹16K)
- Expandable RAM to 24GB handles 10+ apps without lag
- IP53 rating survives sweaty gaming hands
- IR blaster controls your Patna home AC/TV
The Compromises:
- HiOS bloatware + ads (annoying but mostly removable)
- Plastic back fingerprints magnet
- 108MP camera solid daytime, weak low-light vs Poco X6
- 1 OS update only (Android 15 expected Q1 2026)
Buy If: Battery life + gaming > camera perfection. Skip if you hate bloatware.

Looking at the comparison, I would choose the TECNO Pova 6 Pro 5G, as it offers well-rounded performance along with good gaming capabilities.
However, if you are willing to compromise on other features for enhanced gaming performance, the POCO X6 5G is a better option. The Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G ranks third due to its higher price and average gaming performance compared to the others.

Final Verdict
In my personal opinion, the TECNO Pova 6 Pro is a solid phone, offering good gaming performance and well-rounded features at this price. Its RAM and storage variants make it stand out in this range. However, the Motorola G68 is also a decent option if you can overlook the delayed software updates and some common issues that have appeared recently.
The Motorola G68 also offers very stable performance at a similar price, if you choose the same storage model as the Pova 6 Pro. However, some issues with the phone give it a disadvantage. On the other hand, the TECNO Pova 6 Pro’s only notable issue is lag during heavy use; otherwise, so far, no major problems have been reported with this phone.
