iPhone 18 Series Display Size Tipped: No 144hz RR Display

Apple is preparing to introduce its next-generation iPhone 18 series, and ahead of this, the latest leak has unveiled the display specifications. According to the leak, all iPhone 18 series models are expected to come with a 120Hz screen refresh rate, with variations in display size across the series.

The source also reveals that the standard iPhone 18 will feature a 6.27-inch LTPO display, while the Pro model will offer the same 6.27-inch display but will be powered by an under-display Face ID system. But what about the camera?

According to News18, instead of a wide notch, the iPhone 18 will feature a small circular cutout (similar to many Android phones) that takes up significantly less space and houses both the Face ID sensors and the front camera, making it less intrusive.

The iPhone 18 Pro Max model is expected to feature a 6.86-inch LTPO display, which is slightly larger than the standard iPhone 18 and iPhone 18 Pro models. Interestingly, all models in the series are expected to support a 120Hz refresh rate and Dynamic Island.

The newest addition to the iPhone lineup, the Air model—first introduced after the iPhone 17 series as the iPhone Air—has received new details. According to the latest information from GSMArena, the upcoming iPhone Air 2 is expected to feature a 6.55-inch LTPO display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate and standard Dynamic Island features.

In 2026, most flagship smartphones are expected to support a 144Hz screen refresh rate. However, sources indicate that the Apple iPhone 18, currently in production, will feature a 120Hz refresh rate.

Some consumers had expected the base model to support 120Hz, while the Pro and Pro Max models might feature a 144Hz refresh rate. However, it has not been officially announced and comes solely from a leak by the popular tipster, Digital Chat Station.

As for the launch, no official statement has been made yet, but the iPhone 18 series is widely expected to be unveiled in September, alongside Apple’s first foldable phone.
