Honor Magic8 Pro Air Camera Details Leak: Large Sensor Paired With 64MP Periscope Camera

The Honor Magic 8 Pro Air is set to launch on January 19 as one of the slimmest and most premium smartphones. Ahead of the official debut, the company has teased several key features of the smartphone. According to the latest reports, the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air will feature a 50MP primary camera with a large 1/1.3-inch sensor, offering impressive low-light performance thanks to its large sensor.

It will come with an f/1.6 aperture and a 23mm equivalent focal length, providing a natural field of view similar to the human eye.

Moreover, the 64MP periscope telephoto secondary camera is expected to be included in the rear setup. It supports an f/2.6 aperture and a 74mm equivalent focal length, enabling 3.2x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom.

The third camera in the rear setup is a 50MP ultra-wide lens, featuring an f/2.2 aperture and a 16mm equivalent focal length.

Lastly, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra features a 50MP Sony IMX858 ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture and an approximate 12mm equivalent focal length, making it the closest match to the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air’s ultra-wide lens in terms of sensor specifications. However, the captures less of the scene than Xiaomi’s 12mm lens, which captures wider shots.

Further reports suggest that the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air is touted as one of the slimmest smartphones in its segment and is powered by the high-end MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, paired with a 5,500mAh Qinghai Lake battery along with 1TB onboard storage.
