Apple is all set to roll out its next-generation operating system, the “Liquid Glass” update, which arrives as iOS 26. The update will be delivered via OTA (Over-the-Air) to all eligible devices. Recently, the company also unveiled the exciting new iPhone 17 Series, including the iPhone Air—the slimmest iPhone ever at just 5.6 mm thick.
The new iPhone 17 models, including the iPhone Air, will ship with iOS 26 pre-installed, while older compatible iPhones will begin receiving the OTA update starting September 15.
Additionally, Apple released the Release Candidate (RC) version of iOS 26 to beta testers during the “Awe Dropping” Launch Event, marking the software’s final pre-release stage.
iOS 26 is inspired by the VisionOS interface, featuring a revamped design across the menu, key elements, notifications, Control Center, and more. In addition, the new Liquid Glass UI brings a more dynamic and creative user experience.
The update also integrates Apple Intelligence, which powers features like Live Translation and introduces enhancements across CarPlay, Apple Music, Maps, Wallet, Apple Games, and more.
Not only that, the new OS update showcased the redesigned widgets like clocks with dynamic features, wallpapers, and more. For the improved creativity, the new updates allow users to customize the app icon on the home screen.
