It is September 9, the day Apple is going to launch its brand-new phone, the iPhone 17 Series, at the “Awe Dropping” event held at 10 AM Pacific Time. Just a few hours ahead of launch, a few later leaks surfaced on the internet suggesting the USA and China models of the iPhone 17 Series have major battery capacity differences.
Popular tipster Abhishek Yadav has revealed what he claims are the official battery capacities of the USA and Chinese iPhone 17 models. According to sources, the USA variants of the iPhone 17 Air, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max feature 3,149 mAh, 4,252 mAh, and 5,088 mAh batteries, respectively.
In contrast, the Chinese variants come with slightly smaller batteries: 3,036 mAh for the iPhone 17 Air, 3,988 mAh for the iPhone 17 Pro, and 4,823 mAh for the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Not only that, but the iPhone 17 Air USA model additionally gets the e-SIM feature. The 17 Air model is claimed to be the slimmest phone from Apple, with an exciting 5.5 mm thickness.
In terms of camera, the iPhone 17 Air is expected to have a Bionic A19 chip along with a 120 Hz screen refresh rate ProMotion display. Performance is the main focus of the iPhone 17 Series, which is enhanced to include a ProMotion display even in the entry-level iPhone 17.
Some early leaks suggested the Pro and Pro Max models will get an improvement in camera specs with an 8x optical zoom in a 48 MP telephoto lens. Many flagship smartphones still do not have perfect lossless zoom, but Apple has been doing it for a long time, so we can still anticipate an 8X optical zoom with lossless quality.
However, the official specs will release during the Apple “Awe Dropping” event at 10AM Pacific time. Stay tuned with us for the latest update during the Apple Event.
