Oppo has surprisingly launched the Oppo A6 GT phone with a 7000 mAh battery, Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, and 1600 nits peak brightness display, kicking off pre-sales starting at 1,699 yuan in China.
The back panel camera island looks similar to the Oppo X8s camera design. The phone’s 6.8-inch flat screen, which supports a 453 PPI density and a 120 Hz screen refresh rate, is its most noticeable feature.
This round-shaped back design borrows from a few previously launched phones, attracting consumers. It’s packed with three cameras and an LED flash. The phone somehow manages to weigh 198 g with a 7.7 mm body width.
Oppo also claimed the phone has ultra-anti-fall durability, which can manage a drop from 2.5 meters. In addition to its diamond-like shape, the phone’s body corner features airbag-like cushioning to increase durability.
The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 Chip, which adds more reliable performance. Additionally, the phone has 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
In terms of power, the phone carries a huge battery, claiming long-lasting battery life and promising up to 50 h of talk time and 20 h of video streaming. For charging, it comes with an 80W fast charger that claims 50% charge in just 25 minutes.

The phone has a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel secondary camera sensor that can differentiate between black and white patterns. On the front, there’s a 32MP selfie camera for the selfie.
The phone comes in 3 color variants—Streamer White, Rock Mist Blue, and Fluorescent Pink. Along with that, it supports IP66, IP68, and IP69 water and dust resistance ratings.
The Oppo A6 GT costs 1,699 yuan for the 8 GB + 256 GB model, 1,899 yuan for the 12 GB + 256 GB model, and 2,099 yuan for the 12 GB + 512 GB model, according to the listing on the OppoShop China website.
