Xiaomi 17 Series Breaks Sales Records in China: Specifications And Price

The much-awaited Xiaomi 17 Series went on sale today at 10 AM China Standard Time and instantly broke sales records. Xiaomi announced on Weibo that the entire Xiaomi 17 lineup sold out within just five minutes, setting a new benchmark in the domestic market.

Xiaomi stated that the sales figures came directly from its data centers and were based on completed payments. The statistics were further verified by a third-party analytics platform, which tracked sales between 10:00 AM and 10:05 AM (China Standard Time).

The series features three models: the Xiaomi 17, the Xiaomi 17 Pro, and the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. The regular Xiaomi 17 is priced at CNY 4,499 for the 12GB RAM/256GB storage variant, CNY 4,799 for the 12GB RAM/512GB model, and CNY 4,999 for the 16GB RAM/512GB option.

The Xiaomi 17 Pro starts at CNY 4,999 for the 12GB RAM/256GB storage version. Other configurations include CNY 5,299 for 12GB RAM/512GB, CNY 5,599 for 16GB RAM/512GB, and CNY 5,999 for the top-end 16GB RAM/1TB model.

The Pro Max version is priced at CNY 5,999 for the 12GB RAM/512GB option, CNY 6,299 for 16GB RAM/512GB, and CNY 6,999 for the high-end 16GB RAM/1TB model.

Xiaomi 17 Series Quick Specs

All three models in the Xiaomi 17 Series are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, run on Android 16, and come with Xiaomi’s latest HyperOS 3 skin. The standout feature of the Pro and Pro Max variants is the secondary display on the back panel alongside the camera lenses.

The Xiaomi 17 and 17 Pro both feature a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display, while the Pro also includes a 2.7-inch secondary rear display. The Pro Max takes it further with a 6.9-inch 2K OLED primary display and an additional 2.9-inch rear display.

In terms of cameras, all three models feature a 50MP primary sensor paired with Leica’s 50MP ultra-wide lens, main lens, and a telephoto sensor. The Pro and Pro Max variants go a step further by adding a 5x periscope zoom lens and a ToF sensor, designed to deliver professional-grade portrait photography.

Coming to the battery, the regular Xiaomi 17 packs a 7,000 mAh unit, while the Xiaomi 17 Pro comes with a 6,300 mAh battery. Surprisingly, the Pro Max leads the lineup with an even larger 7,500 mAh battery, setting it apart from the other two models.
